I did the same thing as you but without the resource pack and here's what I did. Instead of your light bricks I used the quarts, instead of the dark bricks I used actual bricks. I used everything else that is in minecraft I used the same thing. I loved it thanks for the picture of the build!

Brian actually got me thinking... And my dream house feels rather complicated, ridiculous, and difficult to make in Minecraft. Literally something I want to try in two years time, though. An Old Irish castle, surrounded by a massive garden. Intended to be a fantasy style garden, with ent statues and other fantasy statues. The outside garden would have vines and even a waterfall, with softly glowing lamps to add onto the mystic allure. In the courtyard is a mideastern stone garden. There needs to be an 100% Irish POTATO farm somewhere in the picture. Leading up to the castle would be a couple dragon statues. Too much DND. And lots of irishness.
